Unique hiking tour to Anse Marron with a southern circumnavigation of La Digue.
This 6/7-hour tour starts at 08.30 am at the helipad of La Digue, where you and your group will be picked up by a typical island cab transfer. After a short drive, you will reach Grand Anse, where the southern circuit of the island begins. The route takes you through lush, evergreen jungle vegetation, through crevices and along the unique granite rock formations, which you can cross over and through. Breathtaking views open up along the way - stops for photos are of course included. On the way to Anse Marron, you will pass various wild, secluded beaches such as Anse Songe and Grand Anse and enjoy spectacular postcard views. After a two-hour hike, you will reach the highlight of the tour: the hidden beach of Anse Marron with its breathtaking scenery of huge granite rocks, white sandy beach and crystal clear water. A natural saltwater pool awaits you here, which is bordered by unique rock formations and is therefore ideal for swimming all year round, as well as a great snorkeling spot (depending on the tide)! Your guide will prepare a fresh fruit platter for you to enjoy during your two-hour stay on this secluded beach, where part of the famous "Robinson Crusoe" movie was filmed. You can then continue your hiking adventure for another 1.5 hours towards Anse Source d'Argent and learn lots of interesting facts about the history and nature of the island. Along the way, which occasionally leads through knee-deep water in case of low tide, you may be lucky enough to spot endemic species of the archipelago such as the Seychelles paradise flycatcher, palm spiders, various gecko species and plants such as the cinnamon tree and mulberry tree. The tour ends at around 02.30 pm at the impressive beach "Anse Source d'Argent". You will have the option of spending the rest of the afternoon on this dream beach or exploring the historic L'Union Estate Park, where you can visit a traditional copra mill, a vanilla plantation and an enclosure with Aldabra giant tortoises.

The price includes a fruit plate. Not included is the entrance fee to L'Union Estate Park (approx. 115 SCR per person).
Please note that the tour involves climbing over granite rocks, so a basic level of physical fitness, a good tolerance of heights and no claustrophobia are required in order to take part in the tour. The tour is also recommended for people who are not afraid of heights and are able to hike for around 2 hours without a long break. As the tour is physically demanding, it is advisable to plan it for one of the first days of your stay on La Digue.
For safety reasons, pregnant women cannot take part in the tour. The provider reserves the right not to allow clients to participate in the tour due to lack of physical fitness.
Sunny Trail Guide will contact you a few days before the tour to arrange an appointment for a short briefing at your accommodation.
Appropriate footwear (sneakers and aqua shoes) is required as the tour leads over rough terrain and partly through water. It is also recommended that you bring at least 2 liters of water per person, sunscreen, mosquito spray, a hat, swimwear including a towel and a waterproof case for your smartphone.
As the tour starts very early, it may be necessary for you to ask for an early breakfast at your accommodation. Please note that the tour takes place in the opposite direction if there is high tide in the afternoon (from Anse Source d'Argent via Anse Marron to Grand Anse).
If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the tour will be canceled at least 1 day in advance. In this case, it is possible to book a private tour for 2-3 people for an additional charge of 300 SCR per person (payable on site).
In the event of bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances, Sunny Trail Guide reserves the right to cancel the tour on the morning of the tour.
On request, the tour can also be booked as a private tour for 120€/adult and 60€/child (4-13 years) (2-3 participants, starting time 08:45 am).
