Cerf Island is within sight of the airport and yet very secluded. There are no paths on the island, so you are tied to your accommodation or you grab an available canoe. The extensive starter package at Selfcatering was a positive surprise that we didn't expect. We liked it, but due to its remote location it is definitely not to everyone's taste.

The furnishings, cleanliness and air conditioning of our villa "Cache" were very good, even an ice cube machine is part of the equipment. As a welcome, we were given dinner, which was already waiting for us in the fridge, as well as 2 bottles of water, milk, toast, butter, (instant) coffee, juice. The angel of the complex is Christine, officially listed as an "assistant". She gives cooking tips, cleans the villas, opens coconuts and is responsible for shopping if necessary. Christine saved our day twice. You can go snorkeling or explore the St. Anne nature reserve by canoe, but this is recommended especially when the sea is calm. We were unlucky enough to take an involuntary swim on the first morning when the ladder to get into the water came loose from the pontoon. Michel, the manager, organized the repair the following morning. He promised to take more care with maintenance in the future.

Seyvillas will need to revise Description for South Point Villas, this is definitely not a Luxury accomodation and no long beaches stretched out to both sides but a very isolated spot with limited options to get around on the island unless by boat or kayak. That needs to be very clear and highligthed not to mislead future guests.
