We spent eleven nights at Casa Livingston in February 2024. It is a very nice house, but upon closer inspection it has some defects. From the veranda you enter a very spacious, beautiful living-dining area with an open kitchen and bar, but unfortunately there is no air conditioning here. The existing ceiling fans are unfortunately useless in the weather on La Dique, which is often very hot by European standards. If you come in from outside and are looking forward to cooling off, you will only find this in the bedrooms on the upper floor. We hardly used the beautiful living/dining area because it was simply too hot for our standards. In addition, the bathroom on the ground floor cannot be described as such but rather as a storage room for the cleaning staff. The whole room is crammed with cleaning products, boxes, cleaning utensils, a broken washing machine and much more and the toilet is missing its toilet ring and lid. In addition, there was always a very bad smell coming from this bathroom, which is why it was better to leave the door closed all day. To ensure the safety of valuables, the house is equipped with two safes, which are located in a closet that is also completely full and which are unfortunately far too small to store an iPad or a camera in. The whole house is also extremely poorly soundproofed. You can hear the faintest noises everywhere, which is unfavorable for families with children or for couples traveling together, unless you like to know what the other people in the house are doing at all times. A BBQ to grill the “Catch of The Day” or a Bluetooth speaker, as described on this property's website, do not exist and the WiFi failed several times during our stay for hours. This accommodation is not quite as luxurious, super equipped and comfortable as described on the homepage. From our point of view and after many years of working in the tourism industry, the price/performance ratio is not right and we would no longer book this accommodation in the future. There are too many other nice accommodation options on La Dique. Finally, a very positive mention should be made of the very nice and extremely helpful Villa Manager Selby and the other employees, who looked after us very nicely and were available at any time.
