Cote D'Or Lodge offers beautiful accommodation units. The mattresses are very firm. The beds are nice, but very wobbly. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning. Housekeeping is provided daily. We lived right next to the restaurant, so every day from 7:30 a.m. there was music playing more or less loudly and for a long time. However, it usually only played until 9 p.m., which was just right for us. The staff were all very friendly and always approachable. We were regularly reminded of our tours. Breakfast was the same every day, except for the selection of fresh fruit. But that was not a problem. Without half board, we still ate a la carte in the restaurant from time to time. Price-performance ratio was reasonable here. We decided not to take part in the buffet because of the very high price, even for children. Overall, we were very happy with the accommodation and would book there again.

We received a friendly welcome and were able to move into our room after a detailed tour of the complex. And that was at 11 a.m. We had chosen the bungalow with a garden view. Amazing... when we opened the door. A large room furnished with lots of wood and tiles with a great four-poster bed. The bathroom was big enough with double sinks and a walk-in shower. There was also a dressing room with a large closet. The air conditioning was very quiet and, what was very important to us, it didn't blow directly onto the bed. There was also a terrace with furniture and a tumble dryer. The complex itself is large and is right on the beach. There are plenty of shady spots and loungers. The beach is the longest on Praslin and was really a dream beach. You could also rent kayaks for free and go on a little tour with them. Very spectacular at sunset. The restaurant was also beautifully decorated. Everything was open with a view of the sea. The breakfast was excellent and we were completely won over. The coffee was delicious and the selection was top notch. The highlight was the evening meal, which we booked with half board. We would always recommend booking with half board. You don't get served so much fresh fish very often. Every evening there were at least 3 different types of fish. Freshly grilled or already baked. Plus lots of delicious side dishes, salads and vegetables. The staff were always friendly and accommodating. The hotel complex is in great condition. There are also plenty of parking spaces. Shops are about 15 minutes away on foot. You should definitely try Leo's Takaway... it's in the town of Cote D'Or... very tasty.
