Description:
One of the most impressive hotels in the Seychelles is Raffles, located on Praslin. The resort offers extensive luxury in a first-class location, right on the beach at Anse Takamaka. Guests are truly spoilt, with several restaurants, a spa area, yoga space, and private swimming pools just some of the things on offer.
The different villas of the hotel are all equipped with the finest interiors, and their size and exclusivity just add to their charm. Each villa has a spacious balcony with sundeck, pool, and relaxation area. Additionally, there's a butler service available to all guests, as well as other luxuries such as limousine transfers and a CD/DVD library.
The four hotels of the resort offer different culinary delights and stand out thanks to their quality and variety. We recommend trying out each one during your stay, as they are all unique in their own way and offer something different. If guests would rather dine in their own villas, room service will happily serve a mixture of international and Creole dishes on their private veranda.
The large spa area is unique on Praslin, offering a variety of pampering treatments and massages in one of the treatment pavillions. Enjoy ocean views as you let your cares wash away with a relaxing treatment. The exercise room and specially-created yoga area take care of your fitness and well-being, and guests can also prepare for their evening with an appointment in the beauty salon. Everything was perfect from A to Z!
- The accommodation was very nice (although a little dated), spacious and clean. - The service in the main restaurant, however, left a lot to be desired and resulted in a whole point being deducted (some of the food we ordered was forgotten, we generally had to wait 15-20 minutes for coffee at breakfast and that is no exaggeration. The service staff often had to be actively sought out and reminded by the guests as they were busy with colleagues). - The staff were friendly, but not always helpful. It was evidently much more important to chat with work colleagues in small groups than to serve the guests. - The beach was very nice. The next town, with some shops and nice restaurants and hotels, was very easy to reach on foot (about 5 kilometers away). - Nice pool area - The food in the main restaurant was good. The theme evenings in the other two restaurants were varied (sometimes with an extra charge for half board/full board), and the food there was very good. - The buffet at breakfast was very small. However, you could order muesli, raw vegetables and some other dishes from the service staff, but then there was no choice.
