Description
The relaxed, peaceful atmosphere of the beach is largely thanks to the lack of visitors. That said, this atmosphere is precisely what makes the beach an attractive option for anyone looking for a quiet spot on Praslin to enjoy a day at the beach. Anse Badamier is a strange beach prospect on the Seychelles’ second-largest island, Praslin. This beach is calm, tranquil, and often deserted, so it may appear on paper to be an ideal spot for relaxing under the sun or in the shade during your Seychelles holiday. In reality, however, it is very difficult to get to Anse Badamier, with just two options on the cards, making other beaches on the island a more attractive option for many Seychelles holidaymakers. The easiest way to reach Anse Badamier is by boat. Thankfully, due to its location in the Baie Ste Anne area, it is not too far to row or sail in order to reach here. Of course, visitors will however need to rent a boat or arrange a trip themselves. The second option is not always possible, and requires steady-footing. It is possible to walk along the seabed from Anse La Farine, but only at low tide. In addition, anyone attempting this walk should make sure that they wear appropriate shoes in order to avoid any nasty underwater surprises. Once you get to the beach, however you may achieve that, you will likely find yourself to be the only person there. This may not be the case at the weekend, when local Seychellois families sometimes bring their children here to enjoy a beach barbeque, but, besides that, it is unlikely that you will encounter any other people here. This however works in your favour, as you can then enjoy swimming, snorkelling, sunbathing, or relaxing in complete solitude, a feeling that can be hard to find elsewhere in the Seychelles in some of the busier tourist spots. This fact alone makes Anse Badamier worth a visit for anyone looking for the peace and quiet that this isolation brings. All in all, Anse Badamier is worth the relatively difficult journey to get there for anyone who wants a quiet, deserted spot of the Seychelles’ paradise to themselves. The conditions here are good for snorkelling and swimming, while the plentiful shade protects visitors from spending too long in the sun. Besides that, the area is beautiful to look at, and ideal for photographers wanting to take back some shots to make their friends jealous, ensuring that there is plenty to merit a visit to this quiet corner of Praslin.
