Anse Patates - Silhouette

Description

The nearby mangrove is really interesting, and contains a large variety of fauna and sealife to admire. Besides that, the secluded, wild atmosphere of the beach is really unique and appealing. Anse Patates is the name of this wild, secluded beach on the south-east coast of the Seychelles’ third-largest island, Silhouette. Home to just a few resorts and hotels, the island is never particularly busy, so you will likely be able to enjoy the feeling of complete solitude on this oft-deserted beach. Getting to the beach is simple, as the only guests to Anse Patates will be residents of the nearby resorts, including La Belle Tortue and the Hilton Labriz Seychelles Resort, both of which can be found in our programme. Anse Patates is located further along the coast from Anse Lascars, on the south-east face of the island, and can be reached on-foot. Ask for directions at your accommodation to avoid getting lost! At the beach, the seabed is largely made up of rocks, and the water can be deep, especially at high tide. The beach is only really safe at low tide, and children should avoid going into the water most of the time. That said, at low tide, it is possible to swim if visitors want to, but be careful. Nearby, there is a mangrove, which is well worth a look, and besides that, there is a variety of different fauna here, including some of the Seychelles’ most interesting sealife. This beautiful, wild beach could be described as a real Robinson Crusoe paradise. The last beach that can be reached easily on this side of the island, Anse Patates offers stunning scenery and a wild, secluded feel for your beach day on Silhouette Island.
