For us, the price/performance ratio was not right. The accommodation is very expensive compared to similar accommodation on Mahe. At the same time, the location of the accommodation was by far not our favorite. (Beau Vallon is very busy, right next to the accommodation there are many "gloomy" locals every day and especially in the evening. What we would like to say: During our last stay, at the beginning of 2024, we noticed that there are an incredible number of street dogs on the island. We found it particularly bad in Beau Vallon. The dog owners do not have their dogs neutered and accept that they will reproduce. However, they often just abandon the puppies somewhere in nature and leave them to themselves, without their mother and any food. There are known cases where puppies are simply drowned alive in the sea or thrown into garbage cans!!! We often had packs of playing and hungry dogs on the beach in front of the Clef des Iles accommodation, we fed them and gave them some love. We built a very close relationship with one of the dogs and would have loved to take him home with us, but unfortunately that was not possible. Today we were back at Beau Vallon after a year, at the Cles des Iles accommodation, and hoped to meet "our" dog and his friends again. We searched for them for hours. When we asked, locals told us that the owner of Clef des Iles had driven all the dogs away. We hope he didn't poison them, which is what happens to many street dogs in the Seychelles when they don't suit the business of some property landlords. We are absolutely sad about this and cannot recommend the accommodation under any circumstances due to the poor price/performance ratio, the bad location for us and especially because of the cruel way in which they treat street dogs.
Translation (DE): GoogleTranslateThe rooms, the location and the staff were simply excellent. The owner Catrin was very helpful. Some of the rooms could perhaps be renovated a bit but overall everything was great. The breakfast was very good, as was the cleaning of the rooms. The beach right on the doorstep is a dream.
